Ans:- Recruitment is the process of searching for and identifying the prospective employees and encouraging them to apply for jobs in the enterprise. It is the process of discovering and attracting capable applicants for vacant jobs lying in an organisation. It involves seeking and attracting adequately qualified people from which suitable candidates can be selectedd. The basic purpose of recruitment is to create a pool of qualified persons from which selection may be made.

Ans :- When Job vacancies are filled up from people already working in the organisation, it is called internal recruitment. There are two main sources of internal recruitment :-

Q5. What do you mean by On-the-Job training ?
Ans:- In, on-the-job training, the training given to an employee while he/she is performing tasks or processes related to his/her particular occupation. The employee typically performs task that are essential to their job function with the supervision of a manager. This type of training is typically used to broaden an employee's skill set and to increase productivity.
